How it works:

We are now triaging waiting lists for Trusts with backlogs of referrals that have built up due to COVID-19.

The service uses our National Consultant Network (NCN). It’s the same network we launched 2 years ago which currently supports more than 50 NHS trusts with their capacity to deliver Advice & Guidance.


  • Available for 17 specialties using a network of experienced NHS consultants
  • Manages high volumes quickly: recent project at a Trust resulted in 3,450 referrals completed within 3 weeks
  • Results in many referrals being returned to the GP with Advice & Guidance
  • Identifies important upgrades into urgent / 2ww as well as downgrades to non-urgent
  • Captures and communicates all results via e-RS
  • It is charged on a per referral basis
