To date, the Urgent Connect project at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital has helped over 6,000 patients in Luton to avoid A&E by either helping keep the patient’s care with their GP or navigating them to the right place in the hospital first time. It’s an extraordinary achievement for a project that is just over 2 years old. It’s therefore great news that the project has been shortlisted for two HSJ Value Awards.
To mark this achievement, we sent a camera crew to LDH to interview a few clinicians and managers involved with the project. The resulting video is an excellent reflection of their passion, dedication and drive to improve healthcare for their patients.
